Established in 1865, tailors and outfitters Welsh and Jefferies has been servicing the Eton high street for over 150 years. One of four official Eton college tailors and outfitters situated just a stone’s throw from the main school, Welsh and Jefferies along with the Weatherhill Bros. represents the highest standard of tailoring and outfitting available in the area. The business as we know it today was taken over by Elie and her family twenty seven years ago in 1988 from the legendary “Syd Body” and the Weatherhill Bros. now specialise in bespoke made-to-measure and handmade tailoring whilst the Welsh and Jefferies brand serves as a supplier of Eton College’s distinctive “School Dress” or uniform. To date this has proved an exceptionally stable and successful partnership that we believe will only continue to flourish in years to come on account of a mutually unwavering standard of perfection to detail; a level of care and precision that comes naturally on account of our extremely dedicated and highly talented team of professional tailors.
